Dancin' thru the decades

Step into your time machine... this season we’re Dancinthru the Decades!

From the swingin’ 50s to the electric 80s, the groovy 70s to the pop-powered 2000s, we’re celebrating 10 incredible seasons by rewinding through the eras that shaped music, style, and (of course) dance. Get ready for a blast from the past as our dancers bring iconic moments to the stage with rhythm, flair, and a whole lot of sparkle.

This year’s show pays tribute not only to the decades we love, but to YOU - the dancers, families, and graduates who have been part of Summit’s story over the last ten years. Our Seniors are turning up the volume on their final bow as they step into their next era of life.

The end-of-the-year shows at Summit are filled with our most anticipated moments; a celebration of growth, confidence, and the memories we’ve made together. Join us for a time-traveling celebration where the music is timeless and the memories last forever!

Tights, shoes, & hair

let's make sure our dancers are stage-ready!

COSTUME: Your dancer's costume will be sent home with them once they have been tried on in class. Please hang the costume, and store appropriately until recital.

TIGHTS: Most Summit classes will receive skin-tone tights to wear with their costume. Please verify with the link below. We encourage dancers to purchase and bring an extra pair just in case!

SHOES: Dancers should be wearing the appropriate shoes for the style of their dance. Please verify with the link below.

MAKEUP: Summit does not require makeup for performers. It is typical for stage performers to wear makeup in order for the audience to be able to clearly see their faces. Stage lights often wash out faces, which is why we recommend wearing however much your family is comfortable with.

For a minimal look (for our younger dancers) we recommend applying blush, lipstick, and mascara. For a full-stage look (for our older dancers) we recommend foundation, blush, brown/neutral eyeshadowseyeliner, mascara (or false lashes), and lipstick.

HAIR Tiny Dancers: Choice of hairstyle that is clean and out of the face

HAIR Mini-TeenMiddle part, low ponytail (clean bun for Ballet)
