Laura Kay Young obtained a Masters of Fine Arts in Ballet and a Higher Education Teaching Specialist from the University of Utah. As an educator, Laura Kay offers students rigorous technique while holistically coaching their artistry as proved through many successful years of teaching for Buford School of Ballet, Alabama Ballet, Evergreen City Ballet, Summit Dance Co., Ballet West Academy, the University of Utah School of Dance, and Tanner Dance among others. While performing professionally for companies such as Atlanta Festival Ballet, North Atlanta Dance Theatre, Nashville Ballet, Alabama Ballet, ReddLegg Dance, and Ashani Dances, Laura Kay toured across the United States. As rehearsal assistant for acclaimed choreographers Penny Saunders and Matthew Neenan, sharpened her ability to restage and create works. In addition, Laura Kay is the Assistant Director of the Utah Ballet Summer Intensive held each summer by the University of Utah School of Dance. Laura Kay currently enjoys teaching for Bainbridge Dance Center and Summit Dance Co. while also being a member of both National Dance Education Organization and Dance Educators Association of Washington.
